The Maneuvering Intensifies.

You Can Act, Too.

Things on many fronts are rolling downhill faster, like there was an election coming up or something.

The DOJ has officially warned everyone that the Russians -- known as the protagonists in myriad leftist hoaxes -- are fiddling with our elections   -- again. Some wonder if they are just setting us up, in case Trump wins the election:  Like, he didn’t really win, the Russians rigged it.

A few hours later, Putin comes out and says he would like to see Harris win. Of course the Russians are trying to shape our elections. They always have. They just didn’t always have the DNC and the mass media to help them.

The lefties don’t have to explain the “logic” they’re operating under, they’re just covering all eventualities. Like planting operatives in the “insurrection” crowd for backup, in case the “bomb” outside the DNC office where they’ve hustled the president of the Senate during a crucial vote isn’t “found.”

We could list all the things that make us nervous about Tim Walz and we will later.  But you might have heard that he enabled a program that paid Muslim families to get paid for dubiously established daycare centers in their homes during the pandemic. That one funneled $100 million to Minnesota’s Muslim population.

But the latest news is the House Education and Workforce Committee has gotten interested in another, bigger program Walz ran that used another $250 million of pandemic funds. That program has already landed five people in jail for fraud, with another 65 under prosecution for things like bribery, wire fraud, conspiracy and money laundering. The Committee is issuing subpoenas for records of that program, ostensibly designed to feed poor children.

In the midst of all this, the end of the federal fiscal year and the threat of a government shutdown looms. The complicating factor this time around is that Speaker Johnson is being pressured to attach the SAVE Act to the enabling legislation. The SAVE Act would require anyone to present a valid ID to prove citizenship in order to register to vote. The Democrats claim this is unneeded legislation because the law already says only citizens can vote.

The linchpin here is that anyone can say they are a citizen and register now but not have to show “documentary proof” of citizenship in some states. The Democrats, of course, steadfastly oppose requiring proof of citizenship. Of course, the other arrow in their quiver is states that allow anyone who shows up from anywhere to get a driver’s license.

The other provision in the Continuing Resolution (CR) the Republicans are noodling involves the length of time for the CR. The Democrats want it short enough so that win or lose in November, they can cause as much legislative and regulatory chaos as possible in the lame duck session.  So the Republicans are proposing a six-month CR, so that a new Congress and possibly a new Republican president will set the budgets for ’24-’25.

Only in the present political climate could some Republicans be wary of election integrity legislation hurting them in the coming elections. After all, it’s bad form on the progressive left and, therefore, in the mass media, to not allow people from Venezuela or China or Congo to help direct American government policy by voting in our elections. We have to be fair and humanitarian.

Speaking of elections, if you have a little extra time or know someone who does or are willing to spare a team member for a few hours, check with your local county election board. They likely could use some help and you could feel more assured that someone with fair intent is serving as a poll watcher or some other key function in your precinct. Find out the process. They might require selection by a political party.

If you get selected, take your cell phone. Check if the voting machines are plugged into the ethernet or are wi-fi connected to the internet. Ask if there is a backup electrical system if the power just happened to go out. How are the water pipes in the building? Will the counting be observed by both parties and will it continue until every ballot is counted or will there be breaks or halts.

Just kidding. We had video last time of suitcases full of ballots coming out of hiding and that didn’t faze the higher ups. But the atmosphere has changed, many states have tightened voting laws and purged voting rolls. And many former skeptics have come to see that skullduggery can happen even in the United States of America --  if we allow it.

If you want information about registering voters and forms for each state to do so, one organization is dedicated to registering Republican voters -- if that’s your preference --  and has flipped some states’ registration numbers -- legally -- from blue to red, in key states. For background information about the mission of Early Vote Action, click here: https://earlyvoteaction.com/about/

For a resources map of the U.S. with forms -- some states allow online registration -- and registration deadlines by clicking on your state: https://earlyvoteaction.com/resources/

We agree with the “experts” who are saying this process of election month or months and non-verified mail-in voting and dubious computer voting is not a secure, accurate system. But, it’s the rules of the game for now and citizens have to play the game smartBank your vote early, if the rules allow. Don’t be caught in a power “outage” or ballot shortage or empty ink cartridges or long lines because of a computer glitch.

Speaking of the USPS, you might have heard the story about a semi-load of prefilled-in mail-in ballots being hauled from Bethpage, New York to Pennsylvania (Harrisburg and Lancaster) in October 2020. The margin in Pennsylvania was less than 82,000 votes out of nearly seven million votes. A lawsuit has been filed in district court in Maryland against the USPS for mishandling first class mail.

The suit alleges that the semi was loaded with a minimum of a million ballots, possibly twice that, and came from a postal facility that had no processing equipment or authority to handle first class mail. Ballots are first class mail and these had signatures on the outside of the envelopes. First class is supposed to be scanned and the New York facility involved had no equipment for that. Containers of ballots like this went through the facility multiple times.

The semi in question was not the only one but was the one corroborated by witnesses.

Always be watchful.
